040 and 043 heads differences?

Hi all.

can anyone tell me if there are any differences between 040 and 043 heads?

 

Yes, they have a completely different part number

 

Seriously. I now have an 040 head cut for 1776 and am wondering if I need another 040 to cut or whether an 043 is the same. just sourcing bits to build a 1776.

 

I know I was kind of asking for this but i am serious

I know but there seems to be some confusing stuff on the Samba. Seems they are just made at different times and places. But I have seen talk of 8mm and 9mm valve stems so I am a bit confused. Easily done that though.
