It could have been a bitch because you followed the instructions for factory windows.

Looking good! How have you got your carpeting around the windows? Is it under the seal or cut flush with the edge of the seal?

    Silver Needs points/will pay!

Yeah I don't get it. Those seals are a lot wider than mine.

  6. Cut it flush with the edge of the window

  8. Just fitted mine yesterday, took most of the day to cut the panel and fit the window, put the rubber on the window first with about an 5-10mm of extra rubber seal, went in alright kind of nice and tight lots of wd40 and a pair of plastic bike tyre levers, went to fit the beading which also went in well and then the seal ended up being about 5mm to short which im *******ed off about, might get another seal from jk or some window seal mastic and fill the gap!, happy with the outcome though[IMG][IMG][IMG]

That's why you should put the rubber on the metal first then you can cut it about 40mm too big and squash it in,

  10. I had the same gap I sealed together and held with temporary staple either side.

    Nice job though.

  11. Any recommendations for seals for a '79 panel van conversion (Devon Sundowner).
Want to take my windows out at some point make good rusty metalwork and replace.
(I also need to take out one of the rear windows as I cant replace a replacement sliding door track cover - newly sprayed)
I want a full set ie windscreen/rear/rear side X 2 and sliding door with silver insert (side panels currently have).
If I can remove without damaging ? re-use??

    Thanks
