On more four channel 133 on sky. They are doing up a bus. prototype bay but should be good. It will be on plus 1 in an hour.
Cant help myself already passing comment as we go - other half getting fed up! I knew it would start, never had an aircooled engine that didn't no matter how long it was stood!
Especially as he purchased it new in 1971! I said I wonder if my daughter will do that for me and my van when I am 70!!! She is 4 btw!
Am doubting anyone buying a T5 now will be restoring it in 2060. Would imagine the carbon wrap would be a bugger to get off for a start.
Me buy a T5 - How very dare you! They wont last past warranty period hahaha! No I mean't my Bay van!! Wonder how many replacement repair panels it will have by then?
I mentioned the VW T97 electro hover van aready in another post! VW have watched that documentary on hover boards from the 80's and perfected the technology
not much of resto programme, more for the drama, that Tim bloke gets on my tits sometimes, Haven't seen the van about to be honest, and I only 15 mins away
I've not watched any programmes with that tim bloke in for some time - he's still an idiot. Surprised he didn't get punched in the face by a couple of those suppliers tbh. Van looked good when it was done, thankfully they didn't try to "upgrade" like some other recent makeover shows. Shame to lose the good original paint that was there but i guess for most the "patina" approach would not be understood.
I've not seen it yet, just found it on catch up so we'll be watching it later. From what I've seen posted above about the engine it sounds like the 1.6tp long block in my lock up should be OK for a while yet. It's only been stored there for about 6 years.
Same here cant stand that eejiot!! Yes thank goodness they didn't lower it put Audi R8 alloys on, paint it Dynrod Orange and chop the roof with some chavvy surfing logo on the engine lid plus all the Taiwanese chrome money can buy! Poor guy would have popped his tappets if they had haha... Mind you he didn't seem a confident driver in it though did he!
Just watched it. Apart from the last 3 minutes what a complete waste of an hour. That bloke is an absolute bell-end. If I was the owner of the upholstery shop I'd have *****ted him!
in fairness i tweeted fuzz a few weeks ago saying i liked the show but tim shaw was a tad irritating, he replied that it's all directed by the producers that tim acts a cock for "entertainment" and actually he's a total car nut in real life.
