When our squadron did it’s first detachment in Saudi loads of the lads bought them. When we got back it was terrible hearing them going off all the time. Especially the lads in the room next door to me when he’d taken a weeks leave
You could make a modern rechargeable Battery pack easy enough to use with them. Bit of creativity and it could be built in an empty 9 volt casing

I do have a thing for lighting I’ve a Optimus brass blow lamp here I’ve seen one turned into a lamp with the bulb in the spout that I liked But there’s another side of me that hates it when people ruin the functionality of old things. It’s an inner battle that’s on going
