Mine was a Christmas present (rather ironic!) - the 'call to prayer' alarm is truly awful!! I love it!

  6. When our squadron did it’s first detachment in Saudi loads of the lads bought them.
When we got back it was terrible hearing them going off all the time.
Especially the lads in the room next door to me when he’d taken a weeks leave

  9. You could make a modern rechargeable
Battery pack easy enough to use with them.

Bit of creativity and it could be built in an empty 9 volt casing

I had one as a toy when I was a kid (he's there somewhere), and just collected him a few friends over the years from car boot sales

  15. I do have a thing for lighting
I’ve a Optimus brass blow lamp here
I’ve seen one turned into a lamp with the bulb in the spout that I liked
But there’s another side of me that hates it when people ruin the functionality of old things.

It’s an inner battle that’s on going

Maybe part of my build up to be a domesticated male that rose to the title of house husband

Well house husband saves £50 on the car insurance compared to unemployed

  18. I’ve always wanted to have one of those artists wooden manoeuvrable figures
But I’ve never felt the need to buy one when I’ve seen them in the shops

Harsh light does art no favours I think.
