Yep it's pricey but it is what goes into working kitchens and does last ..just don't put hot frying pans or roasting trays on it that's all. Ideal if you have pets I would think.
Nothing wrong with a nice shag-pile offcut . I fitted it and planned to change after a year or two ..... Ah well - 8 years down the line i might get around to it next year Doesn`t smell either
Well vinyl it was then !! Carpet Right vinyl as on January Sale - and went with the MadMatz in the Cab. I may well look at a removable piece of carpet for those early morning's when it's cold Cheers all.
get a pair of slippers for when it's cold, carpet isent really pratical in a camper unless it's shag pile
Or sheepskins, we fill ours with luxury deep pile. Superb, £25 each from IKEA and dead easy to replace as and when required.
Based on the recommendations contained in this very valuable thread I have ripped out my carpet and replaced it with an inch thick layer of small wood shavings and sawdust. Lovely and warm on cold mornings, soaks up any spilled drinks, vomit and wee, and is easily swept out and renewed when it gets too smelly or damp.
Having had chequered vinyl for a few years, I'm bored of it and my misses complains is cold. So about to place the order for some retro Ukrainian Orange carpet tiles. Got a sample and its nowhere near as bright as the website image. It matches my poptop canvas and should look something like this.......................too much time on my hands I think! From this..... To this.....
I just stand still and let it dribble down my leg. It's not even an issue if I've got shoes on as it just collects in my shoes and they soak it all up lovely.
