  1. Had an Interview forty miles away today, so I was going to check her oil and reconnect the windscreen washer pipe, but the day went weird and everything took longer than it should have. I printed out maps as Lola doesn't like motorways, quick bath and off I went, no oil check...no washer, the gods were with me as it rained and kept the windscreen clean. Had the interview and drove back, she was faultless and I got the job :)

And I will check the oil tomorrow.

If you walk out of the top left hand corner of lobb fields you can follow a track into Croyde that comes out just by the Thatch. We normally walk there and get a cab back once inebriation sets in!

  9. If that's the same pub I'm thinking of, it used to be called The Carpenters Arm.

That must have been at least 22 years ago. As far as I know it's always been the Thatch?
There's another one up around the corner though.

  11. This is the one where the footpath leads to. And it was about 30 years ago

Edit: Just looked on Google Earth. The one I'm talking about is now Billy Bud's
Edit 2: The path I'm talking about is from Croyde Bay, not Lobb Field. I'll shut up now

  17. Should have been a ten minute job, fitting the new original VW Chrome badge I purchased from @onion.
I also bought new attachment clips from the usual suspects, reproductions, that would not grip the body properly.

Investigated Gusbus accelerator pedal not returning correctly, the linkeage rod and lower plate was worn. Buttys Bits throttle linkages have good reviews on here, so we made our own up!

Cost of £2.96 per rose joint and a piece of 4mm plate from the shelf..one linkeage made, fitted, return spring replaced..sorted, returns correctly now!

Steering idler pin is next on the list :D

  19. Ahhh.. The ten minute job.. That takes a whole evening :)
