Mine was for my daughter, iv not put it down for days so I have ordered another for her! She has never shown interest in my guitar as she is so used to hearing the ex tell me to turn it off! If she can play a song by Christmas she can have a guitar! I Googled ukulele and there was a ukulele shop near my work, couldn't belive it.
I got mine from Guitarzone in Halifax. Had a good selection of starter type ukes there. When and if I ever upgrade, it'll be a trip to The Music Room in Cleckheaton.......where I got me mandolin from.
There us a ukulele shop in Batley, it's got a website. Mine is a starter one, I tried the £30 ones and went for one at £48, it did sound 10 times better and even more with good strings on, it's a barton rouge?. Stays in tune pretty well, intonation is a bit out but I can probably sort that if i need.
Its made me get mine out and have a bit of a strum , it sounded nearly ok in parts to me , im just glad i dont live nextdoor to me
Mines a Freshman. I liked the tone of it so Mrs JT bought it for me bless her. I put Aquila strings on it shortly after buying it cos some fella recommended them and changed the plastic saddle to bone, not sure if it's made much diff really but in my head it has

I have a Gibson Les Paul electric and a Mahalo acoustic, but a bit out of practice. Hoping to change that this summer though... All I have to do is find where you lot are camping so I can annoy you all!
I've got a couple in different sizes, this is what the latest one will look like when it arrives. My birthday present from Ms.T, a resonator concert uke.
