one has destroyed the crank - the other motor was full of mud and water not good at all i would guess it would have hydraulic
Engine was from an imported bus so god knows what's happened to it. Gutting though especially as my original engine has gone now. :-( oh well the hunt for an engine continues.
What do you want from an engine? Is it to be a motorway plodder with reliabilty in mind or do you want to be able to rip it up the strip at the pod every now and then

it is full of mud inside barrels rusted crank has rust on it valve seat out of a head and a snapped valve - i would guess it hydraulic locked do i guess it would have bent rods as well
yes i get the fact it could have water ingress through the air intake i hadn't thought of that due to it being in the rear and so high.
It could have !!!! it has please tell me how you get get silt and mud and water inside a crankcase if it hasn't been submerged ?????
