Feel a bit of thread jacking here, sorry!! That looks the trick tho. I have a gaping hole in the bottom of the door and I'm thinking I'll leave the poly hanging loose underneath to form a skirt than nearly hangs out of the van with the door closed!
Progress has slowed down about as I am waiting on the seat trimmer who is on a bit of a go-slow after finishing the cab seats and the guy who is going to make the furniture is still 4 weeks from being freed up to make a start. Decided to tackle an important piece of the job and brand Miss Daisy as a TLB-bus: Got the accelerator pedal back to its former glorious travel with a but more surgery on the carpet. Van is running very nicely now the CV joints and the brake caliper are sorted. Got a weeks holiday next week, so if the weather perks up will get a first camp of 2013 under our belts - hopefully on the newly trimmed rear cushions
If you mean the lip along the door side of the arch, then no. They sit on top of it - quite neat and mine are held in place by the seat belt and seat runners being bolted through them. I can take a picture and post if you like.
Ahhh ok no worries mate I have ordered some biege narrow weave ones that have the wrap around thanks anyway! loving the sticker
Pick up my rear cushions from the trimmers today and am very chuffed with how they have turned out: and the buddy seat: Just need a seat to go under it Nearly there - furniture should be fitted by early July, but we can go camping in the meantime and have a girt great bed to sleep in - happy days.
Furniture guy came around today to measure up and will be starting build soon. Going to be a bit 'compact and bijou', so the wife better lose a few pounds (good job she doesn't come on here). Not much room to play with when the bed is down, but it is luxury compared to the old 3/4 width, so we will cope:
All looking good there, I noticed the foams you 1st got had a knee roll on the rear seat, but after trimming it has gone, and I was thinking of getting the same myself, what happened to it? is it too much hassle to trim?
Yes. Trimmer pointed out the knee roll might look a bit odd given the design we came up with so off it came.
Might have been a bit odd to sleep on as well? I thought about it, but rounded off the front "old-style" instead...
The knee roll was just an extra bit of memory foam glued on so it was easy to whip off. I love the 'Zed throne"
Well, the first bits of furniture are fitted and had a first coat of oil today. I am chuffed with how it is looking: I am lucky to have a very skilled cabinet maker as a neighbour - he has used oak, which is beautiful - will probably still be going strong long after the van has rusted away around it. Just a buddy seat/loo-box and top locker to go and aside from fitting a propex and interior lighting, the refit is done and dusted (famous last words ).
Interior is looking ace mate! Looks really good quality mines all finished now but ive got phone and computer errors going on at the moment so will get the pics on when all is resolved!
