Who wouldn't want to be a Wolfsberger?? How times have changed. I have the Peugeot publications of this that talks about the cars and working lives of a Sochauxian. They make it sound like the best job in the world but there is always a darker side to the story. Wasn't there a case of some people trying to take VW werk to court over working conditions and slavery. But what slavery, they gave you a swimming pool.
Factory life is never as good as it looks on paper. Working conditions these days are probably good. Most of the repetitive jobs are now probably done by robots.
wow these are great, i love seeing old photos of how these were created... particularly like the workers car park absolutely full of beetles!! x
seeing strange resemblances to this and Chernobyl, this was obviously more successful but the back and white images, its own community, swimming etc, strange...
Marvellous photos! However it seems our buses were made in Hanover with transmissions from Kassel. Any photos of these?
