I was given these original photos last week by an old school friend, I also scanned a booklet:-
Oh man they are brill Chris , cheers for posting
Very nice bit of History there Chris, Thanks,
Who wouldn't want to be a Wolfsberger??
How times have changed. I have the Peugeot publications of this that talks about the cars and working lives of a Sochauxian. They make it sound like the best job in the world but there is always a darker side to the story. Wasn't there a case of some people trying to take VW werk to court over working conditions and slavery. But what slavery, they gave you a swimming pool.
No worries they are cool I'm chuffed my M8 thought of me & gave them to me.
No worries I thought someone else would appreciate them
Factory life is never as good as it looks on paper. Working conditions these days are probably good. Most of the repetitive jobs are now probably done by robots.
wow these are great, i love seeing old photos of how these were created...
particularly like the workers car park absolutely full of beetles!! x
I was chuffed to receive these off him, no idea where he got them.
seeing strange resemblances to this and Chernobyl, this was obviously more successful but the back and white images, its own community, swimming etc, strange...
Marvellous photos! However it seems our buses were made in Hanover with transmissions from Kassel. Any photos of these?
