Cool no worries, it will be a collectors item before I use it again !!! No advice on the hi hi Kiki other than it’s hitachi’s new name
I've just spend two days inside a sewer tube with a grinder/40 grit flap discs removing rust. 2 of us, going like the clappers.
AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH I’ve just been to site in the west end to have a look at something (don’t want to give the game away @Zed ) been assured it was tight. As tight as a tight thing. Couldn’t be any tighter. Got out my tiny Stanley ratchet 70mm arm, max. Tightened it by hand. All fixed. Phoned the boss of the man who went in. But he told he he did it up with his impact driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have I said AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH yet? someone is currently getting a stern talking to.
Use roof battens as these are treated so ideal for this, pre drill & tech screw will do this with ease, two man job ideally with some one pilot drilling infront.
No actual link to a Stanley ratchet - but Mrs P's first boyfriend was from Redhill, so any item of 70mm /3 inches length is given the name Redhill peni$.......
I thought the point of tec screws was they are self drilling and don’t require a pilot hole? Or is it the batten that being drilled so the screw doesn’t bite in the batten?
Due to thickness of the metal plus you need to pilot the wood. If you want speed (spud gun) hilti, ear defenders and off you go. If you use pilot hole then impact driver with Hex head screws so can use a socket head will pull into the wood for soild fixing, 600mm centres will be ideal. I would mark the battens then pre drill prior to install, using a flat bit to recess the hex head screw, once you get the ends done will fly along.
