So I ordered the rubber filler neck from Bus ok At a total cost of 47 euros, including postage, after I paid, they sent me an email saying its not 100% correct and would I like to upgrade to an original one at a cost of 80 euros I've asked what the difference is between them, but no response as of yet. If the picture is correct your fuel filler goes off at an angle on a pickup. If you fit the bus one that goes straight down more or less it will constantly be under tension and split.. But would I buy a 50 year old rubber part? .With the flatter angle you might find other fuel fittings that suit, even a flange welded to an angled tube and marine fuel hose..
I'm not fitting a bus one Mike I've ordered a double cab one from them then they message me asking if I'd like to upgrade to an original. I've requested a picture so I can see the difference. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
They have replied with this saying this is the one I've bought. https://bus-ok.nl/T2b-fuel-filler-neck-seal-single-double-cab-08-73-07-79-261201119 Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
So they’re basically saying ‘we’ve advertised, and you’ve bought, one that’s not really very good’ but that they can also sell you a NOS one if you’d like, for 3x the price? Or are they saying they’ve not got the cheap one in stock, but here’s a sub, for 3x the price?
Yes, exactly , it's okish, but this is better if I want to spend another 60 euros. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
I've just requested a refund. I'm going with @stirlingmoz idea and fit a T25 one. If I bought the original one, including postage, it's over 100 euros ridiculous amount for a little bit of rubber. The filler neck on a double cab is so easy to get at I can change it anytime. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
