You'll get @Merlin Cat all excited by posting saucy French postcards of 2CV's.

My mum had a ‘75 then I learnt to drive in her “E” reg Diane. Great (but terrible) cars!

Might be giving the wrong impression here ..that folks think the old 2cv is ours .
Not at all . I just took the picture of Caroline next to it as they were quite rare even then on french roads .
As for the bay window behind ...i didn't even take it on board ,so happened to be at the back .

Back then i wouldn't have either of them for love nor money .......not now though

Terrible alright ..had one ( borrowed ) and a spark plug blew off up a hill .
It sounded like a 5 hp garden rotavator and about as fast ...all this happening whilst sitting on a seat resembling a cheap Blackpool deck chair .

I miss ours. It was such fun to drive

Like the bay, we went everywhere with a smile on our faces

  20. As with most things `back in the day` they were disposable in the 80`s and early 90`s , even had a 2 CV 24 hour endurance race
I marshalled at a couple where the majority were the happy amateur brigade ,when it blew you just put in another engine which would have been a few quid from the scrappie . Scarey just to spectate !!
If it`s still running things will have changed significantly and got all `professional` with people actually taking it seriously

    :hattip:
