Update Ozziedog - Have siphoned fuel out now and just awaiting endoscope delivery today (+ claw/grabber device). Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for your advice - Phil
I hadn’t thought of using both things in combination before I’ve used scopes loads of times, but I have a three clawed remote pickup that I could also use in tandem, it’s only about two foot long though, it’s like a bike cable with a plunger type button on one end and three claws on the other. I’m just bound to loose something soon and need to do this Most of these gadgets come with a tiny little hook that attaches to the end and you may just manage with one of those. Just for the sake of info, how is the sample bottle top progressing??? Is it still in the petrol in laboratory test conditions? Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, good luck bud
Hi Ozziedog - just like old Bing Crosby, I’ve been fishing all Sunday afternoon, but with absolutely no joy. Can hardly make out a thing in the tank and I decided to use the Catholic withdrawal strategy before I nonce anything else up! I have the same type and length of claw grabber and I’m pretty sure I would end up dropping that in as well for good measure. The top has been in petrol for 9 days now and it’s not degraded at all, so I’m going to just leave it in that tank - I can’t see that it is going to do any great harm, but as I cannot get it out anyway, c’est la vie. Here’s a pic of the offending article (the cap, not my watch - although, given time ...). Cheers, Phil
