Oil Can Cafe / the Carding Shed is the name of the place....would be a great venue for a Late Bay meet up....there's always some club parked up in the cafe car park.
The Yorkshire Sculpture park is worth a visit if the weather is good Its just off the M1 at J38. Free entry, but they charge you £12 to park! - Luckily the farmer across the Rd only charges £3 to park
Pit museum on the road to Wakefield is worth going down. Oil can cafe has moved, not been since then so not sure what it's like now. Depends where your going Huddersfield covers a large area.
No just big women in grubby emerald green coats hitting there husbands coming back late for sunday lunch
Where I grew up, and where my Dad still lives, is North London, in "Whetstone" where there's a smooth lump of rock ... the whet stone, that was used to sharpen many a sword before the last battle in the war of the roses ... the Battle of Barnet. (that's also Barnet as in "Barnet Fayre" - hair ... which may be a side note of particular interest to @Barry Haynes ?) I still don't get how the Yorkists and the Lancastrians ended up settling it all in North London ..... ???
