I'm currently trying to fit two metal panels above the engine that holds the acoustic sound deadening but I'm not sure I have the right panels, does anyone have pictures or parts diagrams showing the different types? Really appreciate any pic Cheers Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Saw this on Facebook To my knowledge the Early Bays were 2 metal sections and the Late Bays 2 or 3 hardboard sections depending if there was an inspection hatch or not. Mine were hardboard so I have copies made in aluminium and painted them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Just remembered I have the ones from my brothers 1973 which I had powder coated (they’re in the 3rd bedroom but don’t tell my wife) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
My 73 has a hatch and had hardboard panels which I removed. They burned superbly after 45 years of oil and fuel etc. I just put some non flammable sound deadener in the hatch and leave the rest to the 5 inch foam mattress on top of the deck. Now I have a new engine that got rid of all the clatter best of all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
These are the ones I have but I think these must be only for late bay as right panel doesn't fit Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
They are shaped differently as one fits around the spare wheel well and the other where the fuel filler neck is boxed in.
