Screen and dash top today, plus seats temporarily until we get the new ones, seat belts and door seals . Just need new tyres then it can go for MOT
Getting close now, finishing touches on the outside at least It’s going up a bit Very happy with the new wheels and tyres , exactly the look we were going for Wheels are 16x6j with ET39 Tyres are 205/16 Falken Wildpeak All Terrains. Ready for MOT tomorrow then wait while it gets Uk registered !
Well, today did not go as planned Did a few small jobs this morning then an hour before MOT time drove out of the workshop put the wipers on as it was raining and nothing but a fuse pop! Much messing about and basically the wiper motor is fubar , remembered I’d nicked the original for the pickup so I’ll nick it back again in the morning! Then noticed the fuel pressure regulator was *******ing fuel out of its joint so I stripped that and spun the diaphragm round a bit, put it back together and it seems ok for now. Checked the oil , it was thin and very grey and very full , oil and filter changed and carb tops off , float needles checked and cleaned Try again for the MOT tomorrow
Never really in doubt Paperwork done, wait don’t know how many weeks for registration now! In the mean time the pickup’s got no wipers and it’s *******ing down ️
You will have to keep us updated on how it drives with them over time and if there is any rubbing issues etc. Can I ask why you went for 16s instead of 15s?
Seemed ok on the drive to and from the test station but it’s empty and light as a feather Ummed and ahhed for ages about wheels , tyre choice gets better the bigger you go and I don’t get the point of going 15” then /70 tyres to keep the same radius? If you’re going bigger, go bigger I’m unashamedly copying T2D adventure camper look and they use 16s on a late.
Surprise in the post today That’s 19 days including weekends and Easter hols to get it registered, well done Dvla for once
Seats will be great Thanks @Baysearcher and @bernjb56 for couriering, just need the right runners now
