finally got half finished. my back is killing me, the smell of the cleaning solution is making my throat sore and the wine has finally reached room temperature... only one thing for it; chin, chin!
Full disclosure time (now that’d make an interesting thread topic!) .... the door fell off just before I went away. The screws were pulling out of the chewed wood and the hinges needed repositioning but having too many other things going on I left it. Today I got it back up, it sits better but now there’s a 10mm gap on the handle side. Bum. Still contemplating whether to plant 10mm wood on hinge side (save on filler?) or on latch side, will it make much difference? Other than 10mm
i bet it comes printed to look like a doorframe too maybe i should've painted a piece of canvas to look like a door?
not one to do things by halves... i've finished the bugger now looking at how much of the picture rail i could get painted before i collapse/wine kicks in...
anyhooo *pours second glass of wine after inhaling first* There's a chance that the welder may have the unit for another six months (keep everything crossed). if so, he'll give me a key and said i can move the bus up there and work on it/ do all the stripping and ready for welding! how happy am i?! there is a small catch and that's that i may need to do some prep work of some of his other vehicles (which i don't mind doing as it reduces costs of mine), and if it happens i may even be able to get dougal (my bug) in too! *massive grin* fingers, toes, eyes and legs crossed it happens
