Aye up ! Sooo I lost all drive with the T25 dg 1.9 5 speed ... Driveshafts ok before you ask I noticed the cylinder was leaking near the pedal (hydrologic clutch pedal) so I replaced it ,then bleeding it I noticed none came out of the bleed nipple (gearbox end) so I think that bit is goosed.. But removing it I cannot understand why I still when I select a gear the van isn't moving... Am I'm been thick ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lost all drive as in you put it in gear and the van doesn't move, then clutch/gearbox/driveshaft cv joint or the splines in the hub have failed.
It was when he was playing Paris-Dakar in it and went airborne at 120km/h and popped a CV joint out when he landed..
Splines? I suppose I'll have to look ,is it easier dropping the engine? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If the hub splines are gone the driveshafts dont turn on the failed side if the wheel is jacked up and rotated . Ir if you put it in gear with the handbrake on the driveshaft will spin on the knackered side If the CV joints are gone the boots will be confetti. Use logic. You dont need to pull the engine for 100% of the possible issues.. for all things downstream of the drive cups on the gearbox you can see the issue. But in the end you need to see the gearbox input shaft and see if you put in gear and turn the drive shaft or a wheel does the other end of the gearbox turn...
Has the same with a van I bought once, did nothing when put into gear didn’t make a sound or move in the slightest, clutch plate was just metal
It's fixed now mate ,but you can have a go in this I found it the woods... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@lost-en-france Are you following the TdF? Stage 8 on Saturday 13th July from Mâcon to Saint-Étienne passes by our gate, we’re between Col de la Croix de Part (812m) and Côte d’Aveize (783m) near Montromant and we’ll have a good view of some bends as they race downhill. https://www.cyclingstage.com/tour-de-france-2019-route/stage-8-tdf-2019/
What region is that ? I'm moving to the "Lot " region to live in a wood Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
