Hey, Just fill my tank and got a weird fuel like comming from behind the rear wheel arch passenger side. (Where it's wet) Is that an overflow?
Damn you were even faster than @paradox ! (In the other post that my fat fingers created) Yes spot on. I'll fix that tomorrow. Tonight i'lI have to be recovered.
Is possible without, but does involve breaking each arm in 2 places and teaching the kids on your street some new naughty words whilst doing it. Good luck. Is a pain but doable.
Thought you’d said it wasn’t on the filler side? If it’s the breather then I presume you’ve absolutely brimmed it with fuel!
Okay. I'm confused now... The breather is not supposed to be connected to anything? Behind my spare wheel there's the metal line tube (leaking) but I cannot find anything to connect it to. It seems to not be leaking anymore.
There should be a short piece of rubber tube connecting a metal pipe coming from the tank to a metal pipe that goes up into the rear corners?
I can't find the other one. Could the fellows not use that breather? I remember they saying something about differently routed fuel lines.
It's not a fuel line. It should connect to the vertical breather pipes (one with a little capsule/condenser in) that live up in your air vents.
Looks like you’ve not got the pipe going up the rear corners with the expansion bulb that you see through the rear vents! Has your bus had new rear corners? Is there a bulb and pipe visible in the other side vent? At the least put a rubber pipe on to that metal one and plug the end to stop it leaking but you need to investigate what tank breather system you have left on your bus!
Yes. It's on the filling side weirdly. So I got this non fuel line not going anywhere leaking fuel... (Well not leaking anymore but got quite a bit out)
Turn on the engine to check. There's no fuel coming out of that pipe anymore. It's probably a weird artefact from a previous owner tinkering. There's no obvious sign of recent failure around that pipe neither. So i guess it's been like that for quite a while and the overfilling caused the leak. I'll definitely need to double check my fuel lines now.
