Looking great. Should be getting onto our doors next month I reckon. Want to get them repaired before I start the front arches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm gonna sort door cards and upholstery further down the line, get the rest done first! Ive not thought about colour schemes yet
The doors looking good mark , love to see those new black panel components ...you know there will be no rust bubbles for a very very long time especially if you have rust treated everything ...which i know you will do . Also Patience is the key to success in restorations , which i know you have ....keep up the good work .
Thanks Ewan as you say, patience is key! With work being hectic, we have to make the most of the time we can get!
Are you thinking on having it in the orange colour as is on the body work now , or a completely different colour ?
Are you bare metalling the door skins? I tried to shift the paint with thinners but it didn't move so I'm tempted to just key them up and epoxy the insides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
outside we will bare metal them, on the inside we will just key them and use rustoleum and waxoyl, something like that
Bit more progress this past couple of weeks, mostly painting the inside of the door frame ready for welding back up. cant beat a bit of red oxide then a good coating of Rustoleum Finally got some bonding on the support brace which holds the mirror in place fingers crossed we're reskinning the frame next week!
Looking great. Reckon I'll be onto ours next week so will read through this again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can almost guarantee they'll be worse as they're Uk doors. Didn't want to chuck them though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
