Interesting set up three trolley jacks and a pair of compressors if only, concrete floor as well!!Envious
Time for an update on the resurrection of Vynii. Inevitably given the extent of the work to be done the project is taking some time to complete. A lot of work is going on in the background getting parts together and this has led to a major distraction. I decided I wanted a 2.0 litre fuel injected type 4 engine with a 6 rib box as I have heard good things about this set up in later vans. These are not cheap however and it took a long time to find a good deal which I did last week. There is only one problem, the engine and box came attached to a Swedish van. This is where the distraction begins as I believe the van to be too good to chop up and have decided to get it on the road. Meanwhile I have found another gear box and have a lead on a pretty special engine for Vynii. For now then Vynii goes on the back burner and Swedish van is in the workshop. I'll try and get some pics together and post them up.

Original paintwork seems to polish up Ok http://s289.photobucket.com/user/Bathtub57/media/1976 Swedish Van/IMG_3443.jpg.html][/URL]
Indeed, I want to keep them although they are not working at this point. Also has heated rear screen, tow bar, petrol heater (rusted out) and a live wasps nest!!
The wasps are really waking up now and not happy... Also the rusted out heater has been removed. It's an Eberspacher unit VW branded. It seems that they are available, anyone have one for sale as I'd like to replace it.
I love this story, go looking for a new engine and gearbox and come back with another van which also needs work. Poor old Vynii is going to be left out for a while I think as the new Swedish model gets the attention.
Ha ha, I didn't notice that. The reason I asked is because in an early post you spelled it differently. Love the colours by the way. The best combination in my opinion.
Blame it on jet lag or autocorrect I think I'd always go for a Swedish model given the chance, but don't worry Vynii will still get done, I've been buying new bits which I'll post up later. The Swede is not meant to be a keeper except my 11 year old daughter wants to adopt her and do a George Clarke job on it.
Just to prove Vynii isn't completely on the back burner here is a bit of proof. Russ managed to find a very difficult piece to source, the sliding door mechanism for a RHD bus.
