@MK-Bay I was going to complain they were T2 centric, then saw my van :)

Had a good weekend though arrived fairly late Saturday afternoon, and was good to finally put faces to forum names as I've been on here a long time! Thanks for making me feel welcome, I've forgotten lots of names already, but those who I missed or did'nt chat with I'll probably catch you at the next Techenders.

  7. Looks and sounds like you all had a great TE - how many vans turned up? Looks a lot from the photos.

Still gutted I couldn't make it, but my own TE on my driveway went well and my engine is now fully back in and running - so wasn't a lost weekend! Just need an MOT now!

    Thanks all, another cracking weekend!
Cheers @davidoft for sorting my sliding door, @Louey for the tea, and @Mrs_Robo for keeping me in water and sorting the curry!

I got back in a little under 2 hours and the van went like a dream. Must have been all the attention I lavished on it over the weekend!

Superb weekend thanks everybody, great to meet some new people and some old
Pickup ran better and more economically on the way home, I even went on the motorway which I normally avoid and left a couple of lowered earlies in the slow lane

Thank you all for coming specially to see me this weekend.

Those old splitties must be hard work judging by the amount of repairs needed to get home again? Is every trip like that? You should must be committed. :)

Ha ha, no not still there!! Safely home in about 3.5 hours. The van farted and misfired and spluttered for 20 minutes or so, and then has run nicely for the rest of the journey. If there's an air leak somewhere, a nice hot engine obviously expands and seals itself - maybe??!
No need for a lift with the big yellow taxi man which is the important thing

Thanks to everyone who helped with my window seals and with the engine issues, it is very much appreciated. There's far too many of you to list without this sounding like an acceptance speech at the Oscars, so I hope I managed to say thanks in person before we all left.
Absolutely cracking weekend, great to put names and faces to forum pseudonyms, and just really bloody lovely to feel so welcomed.
    Bring on September

  18. Alice's neighbour just walked past the window and I've realised why he looks so familiar, he's the spitting image of @1973daisey
