Progress of a kind today. I've overlapped phones, but both on 3 contracts. I could have got them to just change the contract and port the number but then I'd have been forced to tackle a smart phone without a back-up luddite phone, so I had them running concurrently. Today I have managed to persuade them that actually there is a quicker way of doing this than giving and waiting 30 days notice, then they change it to a PAYG number, then I ring up swap it to the new phone (madness??). After pointing out that it would take a day if I was moving from a competitor they had to admit they could do it then and there and as "a loyal customer" blah they would. Good! Thought so! But they were lying, new number stops working some time in next 24 hours, old number starts working sometime in following 24 hours so I might get left with no working phone. Pathetic in this day and age so fingers crossed it's arse covering and it'll happen at the same time. Then I deleted 95% of my contacts built up over 30 years work mainly, and passing friends from all my phones and computers. Then I deleted my website files from on-line so site is gone and should save wasting people's time - I get quite a few calls asking for resto - I used to pass them on but really nobody I know needs the extra work load! Next I will delete my zeds email account because mainly that's used by Russians trying to trick me into clicking a link so they can lock my computer and ransome me by tempting be with knock-off watches that I'm assured will impress the ladies and make me look "unpoor", and potions for a harder, er, thing. 20 of these a day is wearisome - the price of having your email address on a website I suppose. However I'm a clumsy oaf when it comes to these things so if you know me and don't get a message with my new email, I don't hate you, I've fecked up and deleted you by mistake.
F' it, I'll move the tie back tomorrow, I've unscrewed it and that's enough for today - time to get the tatties on.
That explains a lot! Just don't ask me what tho as I don't have a clue! I had to get me smart phone out to work it out but then the app for that took ages to download & well I just got bored so decided on the random comment above^^ What was I saying???
No idea but I know what I mean. I've never really felt quite at Home in England and by looking at that I should probably go somewhere else.
Well you really are British to the core . Went to Southern Ireland 4 years ago , and loved every bit of the land, the people were really nice and very friendly . Think we my well return and it will be in the bus this time .
