I was friends with Tina Turner for a few years still a face book friend but i take it you mean the singer not the woman who works in homebase i know
I have been out on the ******* with the prodigy when I was a semi pro snow boarder. I Was British junior champ and came 34th in the world championships but now I'm just showing off!! Lol. Also done a lot of tv and film extra work. Holly oaks, emmerdale, corrie. Couple of films and a few adverts . Had a speaking part on heartbeat and some other show about man city fans that never aired . Acting carrier is on the back burner for now!
I've met loads of bands from back in the day when I used to write a fanzine. Korn, GreenDay, Seahorses, Ian Brown, Machine Head, Type o'Negative, Faithless, Coal Chamber, Shed Seven, Tura Satana, Feeder, Paloma Faith. Other than that, I've sailed on Ellen Mc'Arthurs team yacht around Cowes as caught up with the lady herself on dry land, flew to Dublin and had dinner with Martin Johnson to watch England and Ireland at Croke Park. Ive done a morning run round London alongside Scott Jurek. Met Rolf Harris, Nicholas Witchell, Geoff Capes, went to a Judo training camp run by Brian Jacks, had a photo signed by Brian Blessed and went to school with one of Harold Shipman's sons. I have yet to meet the chuckle brothers....
Yeah the fanzine was mainly metal and the type of stuff you would find in Kerrang but despite no longer writing a fanzine I just use my blag techniques to occasionally get backstage etc Collected photos and got albums signed along the way, probably the only detritus I haven't got from that lot is anything from Geoff Capes or Rolf Harris.
Love Tommy Barney, he was a legend Some good stuff on here ain't there, But I am now starting to believe @Top Banana Racing when he said he overtook Agostini after reading some of this
when i worked on tvam i met david frost ,peter jay and honor blackman n one of our erectors pushed peter jay in the canal at camden lock at the topping out .
How about this then .I worked with a bloke who bought Rolf Harris's car and then pranged it on the M4 the day after,he later admitted at the time of the incident the chuckle brothers were on the radio
