YouTube on ipad

  1. Why is it when I try to watch certain YouTube videos on an iPad, they won't play. I get the message "the content owner has not made this video available on mobile. Add to playlist to watch it later on a pc"
Surely if its on YouTube, it's on YouTube. Apart fom that, I haven't got a PC because its broken, that's why I "borrow" an iPad from my wife's work.
Is this another stupid apple thing?

Edit. Also the same on my android phone so not an apple thing. Still blooming stupid/annoying though

  2. Search for the same video on vimeo, seems to work better on i pad

  3. Cheers ill try that. It was your hasta Alaska vids I was tryin to watch But its happened loads before with other vids.

  4. Ha ha thats how i found vimeo, i stuck the vimeo link for all the episodes on the first post i think

  5. Have you got the you tube app? Try that maybe

  6. Vimeo worked  my phone has YouTube app but iPad doesn't, both of them deny me access to stuff.

  7. I had that trouble with my ipad. I think YouTube is owned by google nowadays. Maybe if you sign up to a google plus account and stay logged in,it maybe easier to use. That's what I did, seems to work ok now, but could be a coincidence

  8. Your browser gets recognised as a mobile device by default. Try a different browser that you can set how it's recognised.

  9. Just noticed Vemio only has some of the first videos and if you go onto their face book page and click videos they are all there and work on i pad

  10. I use an app called playtube it allows you to watch all videos

  11. I don't think it's an Apple thing. I had the same on my iPhone for a while, then it went away. Try killing the browser or YouTube app completely (double click on home key, etc...), or even restarting the device.
