I picked up the christmas radio times today and instead of looking at all the telly stuff i turned straight to the listings for bbc radio 4 extra.Bernard Cribbens, Jimmy Edwards, fantastic stuff , dont think the kids will agree though. nick
I'm with you there Nick, there's nothing but rubbish on the telly at this time of the year. What am I saying there's nothing on at any time of the year.
I love the radio at Christmas. Radio 7 which is now Radio 4 extra always had fab plays on all day. I suppose your right. I never thought the day would come when I too would be thinking "oww what's on the radio?"
And to add to the above I gave a little cheer this morning at the village Christmas lights switch on in Ambridge.
I thought if i called it a wireless all the young uns on here wouldnt know what i was talking about anyway heres a pic of me mrs beatnick and miss beatnick having a lovely time listening to Dick Barton on the wireless. http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rmhttp/schools/primaryhistory/images/world_war2/daily_life/ww2_family_tuing_radio.jpg
