Hi guys, I used to be on here some time ago but I assume someone broke the forum when I wasn't looking My name's Rich, I live in Ludlow with my other half and 3 small kids. We got our camper after our lass mentioned to a friend that she would love to find one for me to restore. It turned out that said friend had been trying to sell one for ages and needed shot of it. It had been sat in a field for years but a mornings tinkering got it running so we booked it for an MOT and drove it home. It failed fairly heavily but with a good deal of help from the peeps on the JK forum we got it on the road within a couple of years. It's still rough but has taken us to London, Lands End and The Gower amongst other places and has been very pleasent about breaking down at relatively convenient times and places. The bus in question started life as a minibus in Germany before aquiring a SYRO convertion to a camper at 5 years old in 1979. It moved to London in 1988 and came to us in 2007. Here it is arriving at Camperjam a couple of years back camper-0791_preview by Catsinthewelder, on Flickr Now a little more colourful DSCF9620 by Catsinthewelder, on Flickr
Welcome back to the fold. Don't forget to post some pics of the interior. I think you have the only Syro on TLB.
