Yay, petrol all over the place!

Battery in, red light on, chug chug chug.... Vroom
Round the back for a check to be presented with a full on fountain of gas.
I guess my scheduled fuel line check has just been brought foreward.
And yes it was a crappy braided hose, not very old either.

Yep, had the hose perished?

 

I've has two engine fires ,both I have put out ,you was lucky...

 

The ends nearest the fuel pump a the T are perrished on both hoses.
The other ends are ok.
And yes, splitting that thumb nail did hurt.

 

Is it the right size? Splits on the end can be caused by pushing a slightly small pipe on

Know how you feel bud. No harm though. Check fuel pump diaphrams to if your carbs have them. That's a joy that one, a little bit of petrol injected into a hot engine bay everytime you accelerate.
