No I get you, it's just on anything under 30" you get very little discernable difference in image when it comes to hi res, as I say have a fast response time on the screen refresh on smaller screens is preferable 144hz won't be as sharp as 4k but can handle frame rates of well over 60fps Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

He’s 11, currently using a Panasonic HD Tv, not 4K. I think he has xbox 1. I’m not looking for competition quality, just something so he can free up the Tv for his mom.

Like @Soggz says an old telly will be good for that have a butchers on gumtree to see if anything is going reasonably cheap - I tend to go for brands I know doing this - I picked a 42" Sony Bravo for 100$ (about 50quid) for use in the man-cave under the house Doing a look now on Gumtree UK (I picked Manchester for location) there are some on here that would be amazing for a 11year https://www.gumtree.com/search?feat..._first&search_scope=false&photos_filter=false Theres a Panasonic on there thats advertised as 40" for 100quid - its actually a 42" model, no streaming on it - though just through a chromecast on there and you could through the usual up on the screen via a mobile of tablet.
