Workshop manual

  1. Can anyone point me in the direction of the most suitable manual for my LB Van. I've bought one and it seems more focused on the prototype bay. I've also looked on Haynes and it would appear I have the only one.

Surely there has to be something?

I would prefer a bentley but can find one of them either lol.

  3. Bentley's about the best, but much of the stuff is in Haynes.

If you've got a late bay, best to get both of the Haynes - they do pop up on eBay a bit cheaper. The green one covers Type1 engines and early bodies, the purple one later Bay bodies + the type 4 engine. Get both!

  4. I bought the 'keep your vw alive' by John Muir and the Bentley. For me both have been handy, but i am going to keep my eye open for both haynes as well. Although one of the Haynes manuals is is on the Internet somewhere as a .pdf.

  5. Here you go. I asked a similar question a while back and in this thread is the link to Haynes, though I do not condone downloading copyrighted material. :)

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Bentley is full of info but blummin annoying to use as it doesn't have an index.

  8. I have the Haynes for transporters and just purchased the Bentley from Amazon.
The Bentley is much more detailed, but yes you are right it lacks an index.

  13. Well I've got a green Haynes manual, a red Haynes manual, a PDF bentley manual and the late bay forum. What more could I ask for. Bit of bedtime reading for Christmas period me thinks lol

    Cheers for your help peeps.
