Just a friendly reminder to anyone intending on removing the alternator pulley in the near future.....
Beware of the Woodruff Key as you remove the pulley from the spline!
The Woodruff Key is the little half moon shaped piece of metal that aligns your pulley onto the spline.

Don't do what i did yesterday. And lose the little buggar down behind the engine somewhere! It must be lodged just out of sight, as i can't find it anywhere, even tho i heard it drop!!

Now Im in deep doo doo, trying to find a replacement in time for 'All Types' tomorrow!

  3. Yep i did it, Think I got mine grom GSF, or might have been a small auto spares shop. Good luck put a bit of sticky to hold it on when you replace or it ill fall out the back too.

It shouldn't fall out - it should be a tight fit.

It didn't help the fact that as i pulled the pulley off, the key was facing downwards :-

Why it hasn't just fell into the crank shaft pulley housing tho is beyond me. Its totally disappeared off the face of the earth! lol.

I always have to learn the hard way!!
