Keep posting on progress, its great watching the resto's evolve

  15. Looking good
    Question?
With you chopping most of your van away first- could there be a chance that it may distort without putting in some box section holding it all in position
When i did mine i did the chassis first then the cills, and then the body and only cut off the bits as i worked in that area - hoping it kept its alignment
Having said that it will only go 70 mph so it may not be an issue.
    But i may be wrong
Any how i found the welding and making bits the best bit of the resto
    Marc

  16. Hi Marc if you look in the pictures the stands that it sits on are level and the chassis is solid. But the sils are still there and the front is braced and I keep a check on things before I weld. I had a look at your resto on the 78 looks great, nice detailing I like a van that's as good on the bottom as the top nice work I will be watching yours.

  17. holy crap batman ;D ....that is a bit krusty

I think anything is restorable ....I hate the idea of anything being sent to the crusher :( .....so well done for saving it

the work you've done so far looks good :) .....hope you got a few years spare ;D

K+ for a new resto thread and having the balls to save it :)
