  1. So, I enjoy working on and restoring\rebuilding cars and Bikes, although it's not a primary job, but more a hobby. Having recently sold a 356 Speedster replica, and wanting to get back into Surfing, chatted with the missus and decided to get a Campervan which we would use for short, 1 or 2 night stayovers.

Hunted around the local market and finally caught this, a nice condition 74 baywindow.

As is usually the case, he needed some TLC, and we decided to do a repaint and interior rebuild. I didn't like the interior and wanted to put our own spin on a Camper build.

This was my artwork of what I expected he would look like once done.

mechanically, the bus was solid, so decided to get the rust removed and resprayed by a shop as this wasn't my forte'. Once back from the workshop, I then re-did the interior myself.

So that's that. now and then I do something more, made him some "eyes' on the Windscreen sun shield.

all in all, enjoying the Van now and intend to use him frequently this Summer around Cape Town.

    Cheers
