First post in the "show us your ride" area for me as i'm now a bus owner (finally!) as we bought Winnie from Graham @Grazzer taking delivery yesterday. Graham has done a great job on the resto of this bus, his thread is here: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/winnie-the-poo-our-new-van-has-arrived.24062/ Since the last update on that thread and as part of the deal Graham has sorted out lots of minor points for us, fitted the elec hook up and installed some twin weber 34 carbs so the bus really is ready to use. I'll take some proper pics up soon but here's the first snap i took on the blackberry as i was leaving this morning to go to work: 78 Westfalia Berlin Champagne Edition by Rob E, on Flickr There is some debate as to whether its going to stay brown or not (kids say yes, grownups not so sure!) just trying to weigh up originality vs. aesthetics vs. painting costs. Looking forward to getting home tonight to have a proper play with it (maybe camping trip this weekend?)
Chocolate brown vehicles from the 70's are uber cool - grown ups know very little. Please not another pastel coloured Bus!!!* *Nothing against them, but there are plenty about already. Be Bold. Be Brown.
and whatever colour, you've got lots of smiles coming your way, yours and the people who will wave at you.
Sorry - this above in bucket loads. It's a rare colour and @Grazzer did a great job on it - plus - people will easily find you in a campsite*. *thinking about it, get them to knock first, they could find @rickyrooo1 in his @Rickyetta Roo get up by accident.
Really nice enjoy. I became a van owner only last summer ( see our post in the introduce section). Got itchy feet to get it back out in April were fair weather campers. Only had a couple of trips, can't wait for more each ones an adventure. Browns cool even if mines only dark brown for a section
Well done And keep it brown, it would look mega with some kind of cream and orange 70's style stripe arrangement
Could not have said it better. Good call for it. Nothing wrong with brown although it may take a bit of time to get used to it.
