Went to a commercial site (Vale of Pickering) for a couple of days...no issues, all facilities open, shower blocks just closed 3 times a day for cleaning.
Checked out a small site just behind the "Bangers and Cash " garage and again it was open with minimal restrictions.

  9. But what is actually there to do once you get there, or is it just a base to go walking, climbing etc?

    2020 Season Update

    Dear Camper,

As many of you may know, the government have confirmed that campsites can re-open from the 4thJuly onwards.

We have taken the decision, like many other sites across the UK, not to accept any tentsfor this season. We will only accept fully self-contained caravans or motorhomes with indoor toilet and wash facilities – No Toilet Tents or Solar outdoor Showers.

We are not permitting any pup/storage tents or tents in lieu of an awning. Any awnings must be attached to the caravan/motorhome and must not exceed the size of the unit it’s attached to.

A maximum of 6 people (FROM THE SAME FAMILY) may stay on any 1 pitch, and we remind you that all cars will be parked off site this season (1st car FOC, any additional vehicles are chargeable as usual). Social distancing must be observed and each family is responsible for ensuring they all stick to the rules as best they can. Anyone who doesn’t respect the rules may be asked to leave the site.

We will have reduced opening for toilets and showers, but would strongly recommend for people to use their own facilities as much as possible to avoid potentially spreading the virus.

They will only be open between 7.30am and 10amand then again from 5pm to 8pm daily.

Anyone who is booked to stay with us in a tent currently will be transferred to next year unless you are able to obtain a self-contained caravan or motorhome. If you are able to do so, please inform us within the next 72 hours so we retain your booking if we can.

Our chemical toilet disposal point and all our drinking water taps will be in use to enable people to be self-contained in caravans and motorhomes.

We appreciate that many of you will have been looking forward to visit this year after what has been a tough year for everyone, but I’m sure you’ll all understand and respect our decision in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.

    Kind Regards

    Tristram and Southwinds Campsites

I can't wait to just be able to drive mine again :( brought it into the garage to do a servo conversion 3 years ago which for some reason turned into a mini restoration

Off touring Dorset and Devon late August/September and based on my recent trip, I'm not anticipating that many issues.
Unless of course, we go back into lockdown.

Air cooled events went ahead last weekend up near Banbury with about eighty units attending, mostly bays of course. A few Beatles a Porker or two for the Sunday show and shine and a smattering of splitsters and a pair or trio of T25s , then there was the star of the show in my eyes, a lovely lovely lovely white KG. Mostly a brilliant time with friends old and new but the damned wind, non stop from Saturday through to Monday as we left gave me a headache for two days after  Might even be another in the not too distant future, so I’ll give you lot the heads up if anything materialises with that.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,just wind,, nuffink to do with that Stella of course.:);):)

I'm hoping to have at least a weekend away this year. Just need to pull my finger out. Taking under the arches back to bare metal is so depressing. With hindsight, I should of stripped the van and had it dipped but I didn't think it would be in the garage 3 years later! Luckily i've just about still got the motivation, and an encouraging Mrs

The exact spot I’m not tooooo sure on but it’s a camp site near Warmington, we use the top field that’s known as the rally field and it’s a bit windswept for obvs reasons. Lower down into the valley is another campsite with a lake and stuff but very little wind. I know that just a mile or so before you get there, we have to make it up a serious bit of a hill with a very tight bend in it which is always responsible for most of us slipping into second, logically it’s reasonably famous locally. :)
One of the highlights apart from the awesome views is the robotic lawnmower next door which is almost hypnotic
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, if there’s spaces when it happens, I’ll jump on here with the S.P.:)
