Wilby's long term resto.....8 years counting!

Hi All, As you may know I've been restoring Wilby for nearly 7 years and am hoping to lay down some paint on it before winter, but work keeps getting in the way . I'll start posting some pic's of the work done so far.

This is Wilby way back in 2004 at Vanfest


I started with the front cab area

Then the nearside B post

and the sills, floor & C post repairs

 

Rear wheel arch repairs

 

Then it was onto the rear corners

 

some good bodyworking being done there well done fella

 

Then onto engine bay repairs

really enjoyed reading it the first time around - now enjoying it for a second time

I was gutted when the sever crashed and all the resto threads went as they were a great source of information on how to do things - I was always reading up on the threads before I would start a new area.

I blame you for my OCD on getting the repairs to look spot on though as you set the standard ;D

I've noticed there is something which links to your profile pic saying if you've won an award. As you got best resto last year shouldnt you add that to your profile pic????

Absolute, total respect for you doing that amount of work working out of a normal domestic garage.

I know what its like to have to work between showers, having to watch your tools so some ballsack doesn't nick them.

Fair play to you buddy!!
