My mate Alan saw the Beatles twice, and has a t shirt that tells everyone so. His wife was a regular dancing in front of the stage when Top of The Pops came from an old church on Dickinson Road, Rusholme, before it moved off to the smoke.

The Beatles didn’t exist by the time I was old enough to go to gigs, in the 60s I wouldn’t have heard much anyway for all the screaming.

I was lucky (or determined enough) to see many of my favourite bands live, but Hendrix, the Doors ( I knew someone who saw both at the Isle of Wight festival) and Creedence eluded me by not lasting long enough.

Gone way too arty farty for me! I really liked the raw earlier stuff though.

Honestly, nobody. You miss them in their prime you might as well not bother.
It would be better if they faded away doing worse and worse gigs until the Stones for example were playing your local pub.
Internet file sharing has put too much emphasis on live work as the only real income so guess what, the old farts charge £200 to stand half a mile away - what's the point?

I’d like to see Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) and RHCP. I’m sure I will remember more another time.
