Weber 34 ICT linkages and springs

  1. Looking for some help.
I have a set of Weber ICT 34 twin carbs (See pic) running on my new 1641cc engine.
Can anyone suggest improvements to the linkage as I currently require a return spring and the linkage is currently quite sticky. Idles too high currently.
I have ordered refurb parts from Euro carbs such as bushes. I understand that my hex bar and other parts could be swapped out for a better products.
Also what jets and emulsions should I have for the 1641 engine? The carbs were set for my 1600 engine previously.

  2. I think the CSP belcrank is the way forwards for linkage, in terms of jets then probably much the same as for 1600 but depends how it's running really.

  3. Have got return springs on the throttle spindle's. You could increase the tension by hooking them higher up.
You can also hook a spring to the centre arm of the hex bar, and hang it off the underside of the engine lid. I ran mine like this until I switched to a CSP bell crank linkage.

Hi Christian. If you're selling the hex bar setup complete, I'd be interested in buying it. I've got nothing at the moment for my twin 40 IDF Weber. Will it work on them do you know?

  5. Def CSP centremount. Makes life so much easier.

  7. Its a much better set up.
I have it and it's dead easy to adjust, I can take a photo if you want.
I'm fairly sure 1641 jets should be the same as 1600,

  9. thank you all for your suggestions. I have a thottle return spring fitted from the roof of the engine bay and this helps.

  13. That is really helpful thank you. Going to contact a supplier next week.

    Great pics. Thank you.

  14. If you're getting the CSP centremount linkage, worth also getting the (optional) CSP return spring that fits at the base of the linkage shaft. Very neat, and provides extra springyness if your cable's dragging a bit.

  15. @stevem yours looks different to mine, is it a rose joint attaching to the carb?
