  1. As we near the end of our restoration we have started taking photos for the insurer to sort out the guaranteed valuation....... here some of the external shots

  3. We shall get a full set of pictures sorted once we have finished the remaining items inside....... truth is we don't know what to value it at....

  4. 12k plus

  5. As a bare van....? The interior fit has just run us £5k ish in materials.

  9. I'd be sad if the common thought was under 20k though it's an irrelevance as this one will never be sold.

When I had mine the insurance only let you self value up to 15k, after that you needed independent valuation

  12. That's what they all say...;)

btw i would be tempted to take the pictures in a less urbanized place...

  13. It's a highly sentimental family heirloom. Only place it will ever go is to one of my girls......... but we have quite a bit of exploring to do first.

  14. So far my insurer has just asked for a raft of colour photos..... if they ask for a independent valuation so be it.

Yes I agree, go to a park and take a few pictures there.

Ask them for 22K, the insurance go can only go down from there, they will never come back and say oh we think it's 25k

They might, and then adjust the premium accordingly.

Sorry to be harsh but as said take the photographs in a better location. And take them with a better camera and/or better photographer.

I'm sure the op is not worried about the premium. Whether £15k or £22k premium hardly changes.

  19. Alright......

  20. Too right at £130 for the year they could double it and it would be an issue?!?
