WANTED Wanted - top section of a sliding door

The top section on my sliding door has been butchered in the past and i either need a top section (approx 10cm)

The structure has been removed basically and replaced with a angle piece.
The jalousie window i had fitted was installed with a seal on the external skin as such. Like a panel van door i imagine as this was a panel originally.

Anyones thoughts are appreciated

If you need the fibreglass interior trim that stops the glass falling out I have a few I had made left

 

That door looks well butchered. Search for a new one?

You could also try eBay, VWFBI (if they still exist) megabug, parts emporium.

Unfortunately ive just replaced the outer lower skin and inner structure.

So im looking out for a donor top piece i think. If not i will make do with what i have.. Make it work and save some pennies for a super clean door.

Surely for the time and effort you need to put in your still better of sourcing a better door.

I hear what your saying. I just ebay searched vw T2 door and there’s quite a lot. Some from £5 and if the door is knackered you can at least use the top half

 

There's one about 90 milea from me but i can see theres corrosions alomf the top edge quite bad so nope...

I have a few LHD ones , tops the same

 

Funnily enough, I had a couple of sliding doors shipped over in the back of a crew cab project... the kind people at customs in SA unloaded the bus, struggled to angle the doors out, and just cut the tops off to make their life easier, and then placed them back in two halves.
So, yes, I have the top part of a sliding door all cut up and ready to go.

Ha this morning it was £5 but the adverts now been changed to £150

 

So Moo has been a legend and sorted me a top piece..

Looking at my door now.. My door was a panel van door i believe so the lower lip as such for the window is non existant.. The upper donor Moo sorted has the window aperture as such.. Now... I need to make my panel van door become a window door hahahaha fml. Oh well challenge accepted.. Any images of that lower lip may help from all angles of the dangles

Oh dear. Panel van doors with windows cut in them are pants. The top twists about, ruddy great gap inside the window...
I know you've put a lot of time into this door but if you carry on with yet more welding repairs you'll be doing well if it still fits nicely after.

 

Mate, if you cover the postage, and you manage to pull off this triggers broom of a door, I'm more than happy to sacrifice a cutting disc or two and the remains of the door to reward your efforts!
