W.H.O. and North Korea

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by cunny44, Jun 2, 2023.

  1. I don't believe it - North Korea has been elected to the executive board of the World Health Organisation - no doubt due to pressure from China ( and Taiwan has been blocked) and the WHO (under China's direction) want to be able to control the World's countries during the next pandemic - Is this a conspiracy theory or Are we all doomed?

Daft decision by a daft organisation, I doubt their human rights records is anything to qualify them on!

I thought Bill Gates was at the controls of the W.H.O.

Also - W.H.O. is an advisory function to member states - it has no jurisdiction and certainly no capability of forcing anyone to do anything, does it?

    W H O
I think it's the irony of them being a member that is the issue, then again you could look at our so called health service and people using food banks and turn the argument around I suppose!

I've tried to work out what you mean - just can't.

    What do you mean?

  6. I believe they have put forward a directive that if agreed upon would put them in charge of all health protocols ( lock downs, vaccinations etc) in ALL countries during a pandemic .

No sovereign country is going to cede its internal security and policing to a central body that its populace has not elected - W.H.O 's primary objective is to provide leadership on global health matters, including outbreaks and pandemics i.e. W.H.O. provides guidance, technical expertise, and coordination during pandemics, it does not have the authority to "take over" or control pandemics in the sense of having direct power over countries or the ability to enforce measures.

I just can't see it happeneing.

  8. I think you may have dreamt that ;)

It has no juristiction over sovereign states, and noone would pay any attention to them anyway. They hardly covered themselves in glory after the last pandemic, being in the pocket of the Chinese, who started it, then lied their heads off.

    Usual utterly corrupt talking shop.

  10. That's what I thought but there was a document in the public domain that governments are considering adopting ( god help us ) - there was a debate in parliament on it a month or so ago.

  11. No way would that happen.

  12. I wish I had dreamt it - there was a discussion Parliament on it a few weeks ago.

  13. It won't get very far. No government is going to give up control to some faceless, corrupt organisation like the WHO.

  16. If you starve half your population to death, less people to worry about. Those North Koreans have got it sorted

Not so sure about that, they would fit in seamlessly with our lot with those credentials :)

An organisation that looks after world health. The irony is their population is virtually starving with no medical aid in parts of the country. That's the ironic part, maybe it helps push them forward and to address it hopefully. The fact we regard ourselves as a first world country with the issues surrounding our health service and having people rely on foodbanks is just as ironic I guess?
