  1. Thanks for the welcome guys!!

I'm looking at buying a set of Fuch alloy's and lowering. Was thinking 155 - 60 - 15 on the front and 175 - 60- 15 on the rear. Am i correct in thinking the stud pattern is 5/112?

  4. Welcome!
That's a fairly impressive bus for a virgin!
I can respect people's taste in lowered buses, but I must remind you of the crippling effects of lowering, especially for a bus. I LOVE that my bus is high enough to take on the deepest potholes and go off-road. I can even drive over a curb if I have to.
I'm just saying, take it out in the country, leave the paved roads behind and let it stretch it's legs. See what it can do before you go binding it's feet. You should know what kind of fun you'll be giving up.
That said, what inspired you to get a bus?

Do you really want to give this up?- shasta snow trip VW t1 offroad

  6. Thanks for the advice folks...

I've loved the bay window for years and saved hard to buy one. I'm surprised at how nice it is to drive albeit a little slow but the steering is quite responsive if a little heavy.

I'm missing the tinware from the engine bay so I don't want to drive it too far, any advise where to get some would be welcome.

I've noticed the spring plate on the near side of the bus has seized in place causing the bus to sit higher on that side.... very strange given the torsion bar set up. Has anyone had experience of this problem?

    Thanks,

    Jamie
