  1. I am aware that. I can't find any of those full panels anywhere =/

  2. Maybe a full front cut from the usa would be the answer?

Its got very expensive this old vw bus game:(

  6. Awesome

  7. I have manage to contact the vwh and they said that they will order 5 pieces. New from Brasil. So i will wait for it.

We took the engine out of T25, that is why i had to work two days to modefied all sheets around the engine. But after all i am very pleased with it. Better than new. Everything was powdercoated. We use original T25 engine mount, or i should say... four of them. On the back of course. Starts and runs sweet. We also need to reposition the alternator. Now is realy simply accessible on the top of all sheet panels. And it's not exposed to hot air.

  8. interior looking good. have you bought new cabinets or restored old ones? or were the originals in good state?
we've a few chips on the laminate so looking to sort them out when I figure out how

  9. We still haven't restore them, but plan is. I am also looking for a good replica laminate. And not so expensive vinyl.

The bus is legaly on the road. Like sport assistent.

  10. hi @Ziiga
this months camper and bus mag has a front panel for sale at £600 in london, have a look if you can online or if you need i'll pm you the contact details.
thats if you have not ordered one yet.

  11. Looking great ,love the pictures

  12. @wendygun Thank you for the info. I emailed both. The first one said that we can do the deal, but i have to organize pick up on his address. Which is a bit of problem, if i arrange with truckers it may be a possibility, but the problem would be timing. And he's not answering on my emails any more..

This, the panel on camper and bus mag, i wrote him today but still no answer. also send sms.

The biggest problem is that i think no one trust someone from the other part of EU....

@Lord Congi I've got plenty of them. From two photoshootings ;)

  13. Hi mates. I've got a problem.

I have finally manage to get someone that could pick the panel up and drive it back to Slovenia. But the problem is, that @owensbrothers won't reply to my emails any more. Anyone knows him? or maybe got his phone number?

The second one also won't reply... =/ i Guess the problem is that i'm from foreign country...

  14. Why would you write this am I not aloud to be busy you have my address let me know when you want them to collect it and pay the money and it's yours

  15. @owensbrothers don't understand me wrong. I didn't mean to say anything wrong.

I just want to make a contact with you because it's not that simple to organize pickup at your place. After all I am 1700 km away. And finally i have manage to arrange with a local trucker, who's willing to pick the panel up at your address.

    Hope you don't mind.

  16. Excellent write up and nice looking bay.
Look forward to more installments on the restoration.

  17. Oh thank you for your compliment.

Does anyone knows where can i find vinyl for upholstery for my bay? original pattern? Or maybe just slip on sewed vinyl?

    And also best repro wood

  18. Summer is hereeee =)

  19. It has been a while since last update.

Currently working on subframe mounts for diesel heater, which will be connected to the original heating chanels but bolt on system. Also some covering plates for side compartments between the rails.

Till then some new photos of it. It has made quite a few flawless kilometers.

  20. I was thinking that that topic can be useful.

I had an issue with fuel gauge. At that issue is like "from the first time i got the bus" old. It had to be resolved. In november i did a rebuild of an engine and replacing all the hoses around it. While the engine was out i had a chance to replace the tank sanding unit. Potentiometer in it was fully rotten. After the replacement the issue was still there.

Obviously the old fuel gauge with bimetal strip needs to be replaced. I just bought a replacement part... AAAAAAND it didn't fit. So the next step was to redesign the original cover to suit the new gauge.

At first need to remove the cluster. It is obvious that it won't fit.

Comparison between the early and late fuel gauge

I had drill some new holes for fixation of the new gauge.

Next thing was that the cover didn't fit to it. It was visible only 70% of the gauge. I need to construct a new cover and prepare for 3d print.

I was more then pleased with the final result
