Vw polo

    Another pulley goes on top? There's then normally a mark on the plastic pulley cover.

    Yes, pretty sure it's on the pulley, which can only go on one way with the dowel present.

    The tdc mark will be on the other pulley I imagine as you need to line this up with the bottom plastic pulley cover

    Temporarily place the plastic lower cover back on and the other pulley you should then have your tdc marks

    I have never done a polo, but golfs, t4’s of that vintage have the bottom timing mark on the flywheel, viewed through a hole in the bell housing

    Polos always have an hole in them!

  9. Thanks done now, one tooth is shorter and a mark on the case... Had to old school it
