VW Festival - Leeds Harewood House

The website has just gone live to buy tickets for this event. Is probably the biggest VW show for us way way up north. Any late bay members thinking of going to this one? I know I will be attending ;D

Looks like a decent sized show.
Almost wish we were doing a trip over in summer now.

 

We always go to this one, met up last year with yorkscampers, joycee ,but only day tripped it.

We could see if we can make it a group meet. :mwave:

 

Pre booked tickets get put in the raffle to win a car of some sorts. Not decided on what yet from the sound of it. The bug from last year was pretty cool though (apart from that Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor style front bumper).

 

Quite a good show , definitely worth a trip . We've been a couple of times . Hopefully going to get there this year for the weekend .
Don't bother with show and shine though , my mate Alan always seems to win it with his latebay .

only a couple of months to the show and the organisers have just released a video and I spy a LateBay member.

 

Looks like its a new beetle being raffled? If I won I'd sell it an buy a ratty oval beetle... or a twin cab pick up...

They gave away classic beetles the last 2 years so guess they have to give the water cools a chance.

And if you do win the beetle my Twin Cab is not for Sale !!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Not to put a dampener on it but we went last year for the first time and other than sitting in a the new Beetle we found it quite boring really! Tatton Park VW northwest is superior.

There was not much really there that was new or interesting , even the cars on show looked average? Maybe it was just last year but we wont be making a trip back.

 

I think we might attempt to go this year - not made it the last couple of years due to other things happening, but it seems rude not to, seeing as it's so close by.

 

I'll just be going on the Sunday in my bug .. just for a wander and nosey at some of the stalls x

 

this is one of our yearly regulars, the year before last was better than last year i recon, the weather played a big part in that, but we'll be going back this year, could do a convoy mrs moosey?

 

Yeah thats our Alan alright he was doing the filming last week, i'm still not going though it's too pipe and slippers for me

 

Well freebie tickets arrived yesterday, can't wait for this one, any other TLB members going and fancy meeting for beer n chat,??????.
