  1. Unfortunately I am having to sell my toy, my 1973 VW crossover panelvan.

Some of you may already know here, she is a 73 Swiss firebus with really low mileage. (34800 km's from new, believed genuine due to its condition. The van was imported from Switzerland by RCC Imports who specialise in importing VW vans from the US/Europe. When she came into the country in 2003, she only had 9000kms on the clock.

I bought it giving my girlfriend the impression she was a campervan, having 2 small children, she has even convinced me that she isnt big enough for our camping trips. I sold my T25 to buy this too!!

I have just had it MOT'd where it absolutely flew through, well it failed at first as the MOT tester thought its indicators were not jaffa enough!!! Thats all he could pick at!!

It has just had new brakes, engine oil change, belt change and a brand new alternator by Kingfisher Customs in Birmingham 90kms ago.

I have put the van on ebay, ebay number 220851587469 but here are some pics too...

The engine is the original 1600 which is super clean, quiet and pulls very strong.

I think alot of the pictures speak for themselves.

    £7995 OVNO.

  5. dont sellit please!!!!!!

get a caravan to tow behind

    shes lovely

  6. I am doing my best but she's having none of it and is still in a mood now!! She loved our T25, to be fair that was nice too!!

She has very little wrong with her!!

The only things I can think of are:

A couple of tiny blisters on the bottom valence, very easy repair, hardly noticeable to be fair!, a little bit at the bottom of the rear lights, radio signal is sometimes weak but is OK as soon as you put your hand anywhere near the ariel wire/connection so is obviously just a poor connection.

One key fits all doors, engine bay, rear hatch and side loading door.

She is just an honest, lovely van :(

  7. yeah i can see that if you do have to sell only let her goto a good home :)

maybe you other half will change her mind? ive got a 3 year old and a 3 month old ive got a tintop iam planning on the hammock thing in the front and the little spog can sleep with us in the rock and roll bed , later on when there older they can sleep in the awning!

we have managed before, even if its a bit cosy ;)

  8. I have had a few people asking me for some pics underneath, I have taken a few but I have a cover over the van and its wet outside so I have done my best!!!!

I didn't used to have any interest in panelvans but there have been some stunning examples on here of late.

I've really changed my mind. :)
