In the past, Schofields were there as one of the major exhibitors, the VW section has varied smaller exhibitors. Its useful having the 4x4 show next door as it also has tool sellers and others attracted by a richer 4x4 owning clientele. We buy £10 tat, they buy winches and roof tents. Last year the VW stuff was in extra halls rather than jammed a bit into a corner in the main hall. I go for a TLB meetup as much as anything.
There's quite a few including C&C Schofields I think Heritage we're there one year also. Plus lots of second hand stuff. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk
Just booked my ticket, didn’t see anything about club camping so guess it’s a free for all, there’s been tons of room last few years ! I’ll head for the usual spot just left of the main entrance.
I am up at Shugborough Hall walking off a fine National Trust jacket potato.. For the first time this year its too hot in a coat.
Aargh a T5 was parked behind us. Their gearbox shifter lever was loose so they only had third gear. Fortunately @Flakey had a deep 13mm Snap-On socket and a short ratchet handle so we could get it tightened again. The owner, Matt spent ages borrowing sockets and getting nowhere..then TLB fixed it.
Counted 15 Aircooled camping Saturday night altogether plus 4 T25s . Mostly a Landrover off road show now with very little VW stuff shoved in the outer halls. Got a good bargain speedo for the Splitty though which was what I really went for! Good to see Mike and Ian as always . Probably won’t bother next year though.
I walked in with a pocket full of cash and walked out with most of it. Bought a Land Rover branded rucksack in the 4x4 show part and some tools and one bit of T1 fresh air hose in the VW halls.
We went last year. It was a bit disappointing, so didn't bother this year. Not enough VW, too much 4x4
